Colour management in PSP 7.04

With a view to obtaining more satisfactory colour prints I recently bought a Monaco Optix colorimeter with which to calibrate my monitor as the first step, the resultant monitor colour profile now being set as the default one.

Need help with PSP tube folders

Hi all
Still trying to figure out how to post a question here. I hate being the new kid on the block-
I have never been able to come to grips with my tube folders in PSP 9. I have tried to make paths to the tubes, but PSP refuses to even take a glance in that direction unless I put them in C/Doc's and Settings/My Doc's/ My PSP Files/ picture tubes. I tried making a folder on the C drive named Judi's tubes and I cannot get psp to follow that path.

Hi, I'm new here on the forum and am hoping someone can help me with Paint Shop Pro 8. I know it's an older version, but hopefully someone's familiar with it. Corel Support wont'help me because of the age of the program. For some reason, when I try to caption photos, the type tends to come out in katakana. I can't find anything under settings or edit to change the text into english. I can't even get the full set of katakana - just 8 or 9 characters. Can anyone...

Hi, I was formerly 'wickiwackiwoo' but there seems to be a problem with that now that this board is now under Yuku. Anyhow, I changed my username and I like it better anyway, it suits me!

So my question is How to get rid of that nasty color fringing (in my photos it is usually blue and purple!) without having to purchase special filters or spend hours picking at a photo that has a lot...

Coarse lines in PSP7

This evening, after not using PSP for a while, I noticed that any lines I draw are noticeably more coarse than they were. It 'feels' as if a setting somewhere has been changed, but I haven't a clue what.

The first example is of a bezier curve I drew some months ago. The second is one I drew this evening - you can see how coarse it is compared with the other.

Can anyone suggest why this may be?

Need help regarding getting 24bit in PSP vX

I have a good computer and my settings are 32bit so I can not understand why when i open an image in PSP vX it doesnt even show 24bit(16million Pixels).
Can anyone help me as i am doing a course and this is prerequisite to continue.

A couple years back, I saw some software that was PS & PSP compatible and it had a very nice filter with which to apply fireworks, comets, all kinds of things to a photo. Now, because of my advanced age, I cannot remember the name of that software.

Any ideas/suggestions will be gratefully received. All I do know is it is NOT Xenofex, but something similar.

Weird pixelations of photos with psp9 -- HELP!

I've been using Paintshop Pro 9 for years to fix my photos. All of a sudden, it is doing this weird pixelation thing with them. I'm not an expert with PSP so I don't know if I accidently set something wrong (or maybe my teenage daughter did). Whatever it is, I need to fix it! I looked around to see if there was a global "default reset" but couldn't find one.

Brush preset help needed

Can anyone help me find the "scattered papers" brush preset form PSP 8? I want to run through a pspug.org tut on brush variances, and one section calls for that brush. I still have my PSP 8 disk, but I'd prefer not to have to reinstall the programs; I already maintain versions 9 and 10!

The first one is gif at 6134 bytes
The second is jpg at 8988 bytes
The third is png at 10127...
