Hi,

I just received my new Windows 7 64 bit computer, and I look forward to using Paint Shot Pro Photo X2 on it, as the Windows 7 Compatibility site shows this version to be okay. I checked with Flaming Pear support about using their plugins, however, and I got the following response yesterday. I hope the timeline is accurate!

Thank you for your interest in the software. Our plug-ins don't work with 64-bit Windows...

Hi Guys,

years ago (PSP6/7) there was a plugin program for PSP that created clouds, think it was called something like columbus or very close to that, does anybody know if that program is still around, I have searched google and in here but still cannot find it.

At the current time I am using PSP x2

Or does anybody know of a program that does that, don't really want to merge two pics, just want a plunin filter type program that will allow me to select...

I came across a few like Plugin-Commander and the Filter's Ulimited but unfortunately they aren't free although what I could see of Filters Unlimited it's very nice but still not free. :-(

Compatibility question

I'm looking to replace the plugins I lost following TGCC. I'm looking at The Plugin Site, Harry's Filters, compatibility. Paint Shop Pro isn't listed under the Corel software. Any comments from the experts on this site would be welcome. It just seemed odd to me that the plugins could be compatible with so many other kinds of software but not PSP. Many thanks. Penny

The best way to find Plugins is to browse thru these archives ......and or if someone mentions a plugin/filter you are interested in google it...it will usually give you several sites from which you can download for free or pay to use..........

using sinedots filter

First off I would like to say a BIG HELLO to you all and what a wonderful site you have here.
I used PSP years ago and have just started using it again with version 8 and am having trouble getting sinedots to work. I have Sinedots.aex and Sinedots2.aex in my plug-ins folder and I have tried making a Sinedots folder within plug-ins and extracting them to there but when I go to effects/plug-ins its not there, it's very frustrating because I remember having lots of fun with it and hope...

This isn't a plugin .

Outliner question

The way I've been using this filter is to first dupe the layer I want to work on, then apply the filter. I generally want only the black outline, but I find no way to get a transparent background. I end up deleting the white, but I've never seen mention of this step. Is this the usual technique? I'm not sure about the few optional settings, either; I've experimented, but the results haven't given me a clear understanding of their interaction. Any comments would be...

Good Vibrations....super fun lil filter to play with
