Just a bit of something different - a Florida picture I forgot earlier...

This orchid is unknown to me (duh, all orchids are unknown to me). It was hanging off a vine above a doorway.

I just heard the snow plow for the first time this year.... so just a traditional Austrian snack to warm up: Roasted Chestnuts.

We probably have a couple of centimetres already (one inch) with about three or four times that much overnight. Of course, by Wednesday we are expected to have +10C (50F) so no white Christmas.

I know it don't bother most of you folks none but the temp has stayed below zero for the past couple of days here. I really must get some heat put in the shed because the birds are going bonkers at the feeders. The small birds are in very large numbers and I'm having to refill most of the feeders every day. I reckon we have some real bad weather on the way ... well bad to me anyway.

Got to make do with the larger ones for a while ... to cold to go sit in the shed.
