Oh wow,,,,, there are too many brushes for me to chose from on the net, and i get frustrated,, so i just make mine as i go LOL,,, than as usuall i delete them,

yay! I'm glad they're working for you! Oh, I totally understand the folder thing...it's a bit confusing for me to have two different My PSP directories.

Yes, they work..

I just realized when I installed PSPX I renamed the folder "My PSP files" to "My PSPX files" and I never added that to the file locations since I was thinking it was the default...dumb ..

Sorry it took me a while...I realized, after ftp'ing the files to my site, that I was supposed to also include those .pspscript files with the .pspbrush files.
Thanks to Suz's tutorial, I got that part fixed and re-uploaded. (plus I had to configure a new ftp program, nice little free one). Oh, Nanson, I just tested the X2 created brush tips on PSP X, and they work! yay!

I'm wondering if you cant download the brushes to a folder on your desktop, then drag them to PSP.........then save as an import? I think I would like to try that........!

I'm just wondering if that will work..you created the brushes in X2, didn't you? Since I use X I wonder if my PSP will be able to read your brushes.

Those all look nice, Fallstar..I'd love to add them to mine.

That reminded me of this site, PJ's got some nice brushes and presets. You might have them already, she's had them on her site for a long time.

I'm trying to evenly distribute them...so I have 32 brushes in my PSP (X) folder and 20 in my version X2 folder. I also noticed that creating a brush tip .PspBrush, created another file with .PspScript in that same folder.

I don't if there's supposed to be a limit but I know I had a terrible time with brushes in PSP 9..they would take forever to load....it made me crazy..

I haven't had a problem with X but I also don't have as many brushed as I used to.

Sorry to bump an older thread, but I was just revisiting this abr viewer, and the possibilities of turning things into psp brushes.

I had downloaded some PS brush sets from Adobe's site (user contributed), and one of the sets came with .gif images of the brushes, and I was able to export the .gif images as brush tips...so, not just .png images work. It's probably common knowledge, lol! but I guess I'm not very common....

Ah, alright..thas pretty awesome.
I'm still having troulbe seeing how this can open up "a whole new world" of graphix possibilities with PaintShopPro...

Anyone care to show me some possibilities? :D

So...I got it all to work..it let me view the brushes and export them as .PNG.

Forgive me if this question is a bit "noobish"..but
What do I do now? How do I use the .PNG version of the brush? The brushes in my PaintShopPro end with .PSPscript or .PSPbrush.
Heh..srry, I'm not quite familiar with brushes. yet.

Thanks Raven. The magazine is called Photoshop Creative, published in the UK, so it's very expensive to subscribe to...however I'm able to find it (occasionally) at stores such as Barnes & Noble and Borders in their magazine sections. Another good UK magazine that comes with CDs is Computer Arts.

I was able to import a few of the abr brushes (there's so many) and they work/look great. Only problem I found was, for some reason, when I click on the canvas once, the image shows up in...

Thanks Nanson. I just bought a Photoshop magazine that came with a CD...a boat-load of really nice PS brushes, shapes, gradients, etc. Think I'll be busy for a while. :D

Fallstar, just browse to brushes you want, open and export to a folder. Browse to that folder with PSP and open them to create new brushes.

I haven't tried this yet but you're supposed to be able to veiw and save Photo Shop brushes as png files so you can use them to make brushes for PSP.
