I am assuming by the little blocks you are refering too are the white around your photo?

IF that is the case there is a number of ways to tend to it. USe your rope on a point to point and go as close to he image as possible taking small sections out at a time.

The other is you can use your easer adjust it so it's on a 1 point or removes 1 pixel at a time and erase them that way.
