With the price of printers being what they are a new printer is very often cheaper than a replacement cartridge for the ink that comes with a new one.
The big thing that will keep your heads clean is to use the printer at least once a week and print a 1 or 2 inch high by the width of the paper color bar. The biggest cause (but not the only one) of clogging is dry ink in the nozzels. Also "replacement" non branded inks are often more prone to lay around shelves at the store longer...

Hi, I have had this prob a few times and have tried all the things you did too but without result. I have an epson R800, (i think) and it has 2 blocked nozzles. Solution - new print head unfortunately.
If your printer is kinda cheap then the best bet is a new printer as print heads can be a bit pricey.
Sorry I couldnt give you any better info, but otherwise like you said you will spend a fortune on ink and cleaners and still have the same prob.

if your able to get at the head, take a q-tip..erm "cotton swab" and some rubbing alcohol and GENTLY try and clear the ink away. MAKE SURE NONE OF THE COTTON BREAKS OFF. it'll clog it faster than ink LOL. Rubbing alcohol is safe, it evaporates failry quickly. tis a little bit easier than calling the useless people at tech support.

<!--EZCODE IMAGE...
