Okay I have been playing with a wall and I added my text to it.  Now I want to use my fire eyecandy effect to make the text seem like it is on fire.  Humph,
and I thought this would be easy too!  But of course I seem to have a problem with the section.  When I go to use my effects they are grayed out, even though I
didn&#39;t merge the layer yet.  I read something about making the text a section and having to save it first???  Does anyone know how to do this or can you

I think I was able to duplicate what you were trying. I opened a new transparent image, flood-filled the bottom layer with the brick pattern, then created a
new layer. I selected the text tool and created text as a vector so that I could size it, alter the stroke and fill colors, etc., then I clicked <span style="font-style: italic;">Selections&gt;From vector object</span>, and then converted the vector layer to a raster layer. The text remains selected, and the... ]]></description>
