Ive been reading a tad on profiling and its got me curious now lol..... Like i said i use a canon rebel xti and to get everything in sinc interests me....

I don't know if someone has already posted a link to CampRatty, or if this is even what you're looking for, but I found information on color management and profiles on the CampRatty website. LINK The information is on that page and the second page (link at bottom of first page)

Bob, you can monitor the newsgroup where I posted the question.

It is corel.PaintShopPro_older_versions.

You should be able to find it with any news reader - including the one in Outlook Express.

Oh i see,,, you want everything from camera/screen/printer all to see the exact thing, in the exact same way, the exact same profile,, i didnt know that could be done. So many questions pop up from that site,, I have a canon rebel xti,,, and i never gave it a thought,,
I couldn t answer your question though about psp7,, but if i was a betting man i would bet against it,,, i think you would need version 9 and up, but please David if you do find the answer can you post it,, im kinda...

Thanks Bob, but it's nothing to do with the file type. A printer's colour profile (as is a monitor's) is a set of colour corrections which can be applied in software.

Well i dont know if you mean this,, but to bring a photo or drawing to a printer they ask it to be in psd format,, this way they can increase or decreas the sizes and not lose any details.. Now since i get a lot printed out,, I just save my psp format to psd... i lose nothing in the conversion,, ive never heard of anyone who printed in psp format YET!!!

The magazine forum is not actually a help forum, you might have better luck posting your question on Corel news group, there is one for older versions of PSP.

I don't know anything about printing but PSP7 does have something about Color Management in the Preferences.

Reading about later versions of PSP though, I see that everyone is told not to use Color Management since apparently it causes problems.

There are quite a few (majority) of photographers on the new magizine forum ......Nanson put up the site link.....if you join that forum I bet you could get the answer from them......some very smart members there....I assume that company is in the UK.....there are a lot of those too!
I googled Bay Systems forum but had no luck....I hope you find your answer!

With a view to obtaining more satisfactory colour prints I recently bought a Monaco Optix colorimeter with which to calibrate my monitor as the first step, the resultant monitor colour profile now being set as the default one.

The next step is to get a colour profile for the printer and paper combination. The people I want to do this is http://www.batsys.com/index.htm where you can read about their printer profiles...
