Domain Name Service, (.com, .net,.org,.us), is available for an additional $29.95 for one year. Includes DNS hosting services and registering your name. This will allow you to use your own name for your group server ie:

news.yourname.com
or
news.yourname.org

Individual User Authorization $19.95/year.

                                                                                        Allows you to assign individual logon name/password access
for each individual using your groups.
Allows complete control over access.
Allow/deny access by individual.
Allows for subscription to particular group/s.
Allows some groups to be OPEN, and others to be PRIVATE.

What is the function of the moderator?
A moderator must authorize every post to the group. When a participant
enters a message, the message is not posted. It is email'd to the
Moderator. The Moderator then has the option of allowing the
message to be posted to the group or be discarded. The Moderator,
in effect, posts every message. Having a group Moderated is optional.

When you said anyone can access, do they also have to be a customer or just anyone with the correct address? Is there the ability to ban abusers?
The access is up to you. You may have a 'closed' group where each
user must utilize the name/password you have chosen ,or it can be
open to the public. Individuals can be blocked from access.

What is the speed/reliability/redundancy of the servers?
The server operates on a 384K SDSL line that has been operational
for over two years with very little downtime. The server is backed-up
regularly and is protected by UPS.

How must my Groups be named?

The groups names need a prefix like :
taylor.group.one
taylor.group.two
taylor.group.three, etc.

The prefix can be anything you choose.

Is ASF/WMA streaming permitted?
Yes.

Are binaries, stationeries, and dynamic HTML permitted?
Yes.

How long are articles retained?
Article retention is automatically performed by the News Server.
The length of time may vary, depending upon the amount of articles
stored on the server.

Am I authorized to issue CONTROL and CANCEL messages?
Yes. Also each user is able to delete their own messages.
You are given the authority to also be able to delete
messages other than your own, and to be able to
add and remove groups to your hierarchy. You are given
our ZEPPOLE TOOL program, which is a Windows client program
that allows you, as administrator to delete any message. The
ZEPPOLE TOOL also allows you to add new groups and delete old
groups automatically.

What may we post?
All illegal activity is prohibited. This includes redistribution of
software, audio, video or other matter that infringe upon any copyrights,
disclose trade or government secrets, or material depicting illegal acts
such as child-porn. You may post anything else.
