When using PSP, lots of messages reading loading cache, checking for new items. Seems to use up memory, then freezes.
Any suggestions, I would be grateful for any help.

Good afternoon,
I know this may sound a little silly, however I have the same problems when I have other programs running in the background my PSP doesn't want to run right either. Usually I'll have like Yahoo going, that of ICQ, MSN and a couple others plus trying to run PSP< now mind you my PSP is 7.2 as well which my understanding is it's less of a resource hog then the new X how true that is I don't know, but as I said I ran into the same problems you did until I started shutting down other proggies. I hope this helps Always Kimariaus AKA Kimberly |

Hi Magic, if PSP finds new plugins of any kind, it will always go through that process.
It will also do it if you have any of your tools pointing to a directory where you have installed 3rd party stuff. It will eventually train itself to know the stuff is there, and quit doing it. I've just installed all of my backed-up plugins on the new PC and I know for sure, it's going to do the same to me several times ( each time I use a tool that has stuff I've added, like brushes, EC 4000, KPT, et.. ). It's supposed to do that. You might need some additional ram, or not. Welcome to the board. I've been down 3 weeks and only able to get here from the office.
