Maybe everyone else knows this, but just in case . . . I was experimenting (with brush variances) when I discovered an interesting feature. Using a paint brush
with its default settings or whatever you like, click once on a fresh layer, e.g., at the upper left corner. Then, hold down the Shift key, position the brush
somewhere else on the layer (e.g., the middle of the layer), and click. A straight line using your brush tip will appear from the point of this second click to
your first click. If you reposition the cursor to yet a third spot and click again, another straight line will appear from the third position to the point of
the second click. This can go on indefinitely, and with different brush tips and brush variances some really interesting images can emerge! A bit more info, if
you are using a "fancy" brush tip with the step level very low, you'll only see a streak. If the step level is fairly high, the last of the new
line may not "reach" the fist click.

Great tip, mujersequra..
That works with other tools too, like the push brush and the warp brush.

Hey Thanks, This is really cool. Its amazing how we keep learning new things everyday!
Okay another question. This is a wall I made a while back but the pic is not mine. I am trying to learn how to duplicate the lines in this pic. Can anyone figure out what I need to create them? I tried blinds but it doesn't look this good.

Try this..... | #4 | ||
|
Have white as your foreground color........on a new transparent canvas.... use your selection tool and have your mode set at Add(shift).....
make as many elongated "boxes" from the top of your canvas to the bottom as you want and at different thicknesses! Use your paint brush now and paint in the "stripes" You can now drag this to your CSI Miami image......or any other, but I love your example.....hugh fan of all the CSI's Loves C |

"stripes"
go up to adjust and use the blur till you have it like you want it! Loves C |

Good call Chey! I didn't realize there was a bigger sized image, and had to squint...I thought for sure the verticle white lines were part of the photo,
like he was standing next to (or behind) a glass fixture! |

Thank Chey,
I will give it a try. I kept thinking it was blinds but seeing you example and realizing to use a new transparent layer... it all makes sense. I do love this look and yes. I am a huge CSI:Miami fan. That is why i am always making walls and banners and manips for my website. Thanks so much for all the help and tips. I do love this site and all the wonderful people willing to lend a hand. :high-fiveThank you! Nightcrawler |

I so hope this helped.......you can also do an interbevel on the "white lines" while they have the "ants" around them to give it a
conture......!
