Importing Gradients |
Lead | ||
|
In PSP X2, I have tried several times to import Photoshop gradients (.grd) using the material pallette > edit > import. I navigate to the folder with
the gradients and pick one, then click Import. Nothing happens, the gradient does not show in the pallette, nor can I find the "newly imported"
gradient in any of the PSP folders. I've checked my File Locations, the Save To path points to my documents/psp x2 files/gradients folder, but that folder
is still empty! Anyone have any ideas?

As you know Fallstar, I'm running PSP9......but this is how I get (in this case gradients) in my programe
Have your gradient on your desktop and ready Right click start/ left click Explore When the list comes up find Programe Files Find your X2 Click the plus There will be a list of your picture tubes, gradients etc. Click on gradients and drag and drop your gradient in the right hand box where they are listed.......Thats it! I hope that helps I download everything to my desktop so I dont loose them after downloading them and can easily grab them for the grap and drop! Loves C |

Thanks Chey, I appreciate the quick reply! I figured out what was happening...I opened PS, and loaded one of the gradient files (.grd), and it is actually a
gradient library, with about 30 or so gradients within it. I'm thinking PSP does not know how to import a gradient library, or a .grd with multiple
gradients. I would need to somehow open/edit each individual gradient, and resave it as its own .grd file. I've been trying to figure out how to do that
for the last hour or so....and not getting anywhere. It keeps wanting to save the whole batch!
lol, calling it quits for tonight... |

I see what you are saying........when you find out how let us know.......I've never run into a "Library" of an objective before, so thats alien
to me...lol...as are most things.........but I'm wondering
Can you Make another folder within that one......transfer each gradient to the new folder and place it elsewhere......to install your normal way? Geeeeeeeez I know this isnt helping......sorry !

lol! Thanks for the suggestion Chey...I will probably try again at a later time. It seems like too much work for something that I don't really need/use.
