We've recently experienced challenge winners either unable to design the next challenge or simply not
returning to learn of the win, which leaves us with no challenge at all, or asking someone to step in to handle it. In order to keep the challenges going
smoothly without a lot of fuss, here are the redesigned (formerly unofficial) guidelines:
CHALLENGE GUIDELINES
The challenge designer/judge will decide the time limit and number of entries allowed per person.
The requirements of the challenge are completely the designer's choice, and images may or may not be supplied.
At challenge close the judge will name 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
By entering a challenge, each person agrees to:
1. Design the next challenge if declared the winner
2. Check at the close of the challenge, and if declared the winner, acknowledge by posting that s/he is aware of the win.
In addition, a moderator will notify the three place winners by private message as soon as possible.
If the winner does not acknowledge within three days of challenge close, or is for some reason unable to post a challenge, the new challenge will be designed by the 2nd place winner, followed by the 3rd place winner if necessary.
If the winner does not acknowledge, the challenge mod will post a notice on the board and in private messages to the other place winners that the new challenge will be designed by the person designated by the above process.
The next challenge should be posted within seven days of notification.
