Sorry, no html allowed and no edit (in firefox)
I have read that this filter works in PSP somebody uses it? he is compatible with PSP 7.04? copypaste: "Filter Forge comes with a visual node-based editor allowing you to create your own filters textures, effects, distortions, backgrounds, frames, you name it. Real-world HDRI lighting, bump and normal maps, huge resolutions and seamless tiling. Free access to 3627 user-created filters. Anyone can contribute their textures and effects to the online filter collection so it grows with every submitted filter. This means the more people use Filter Forge, the better it gets." Looks Great! Examples: www.filterforge.com/filters/ |

Filter Forge in PSP | #3 | ||
|
Hello Raven!
It believed the same, but reading the forums i found this thread: www.filterforge.com/forum/read.php?FID=5&TID=1695&MID=10722&phrase_id=176780#message10722 - "I just want to say that FF works wonderfully together with PaintShopPro 7,04. I copied the FF folder in Photoshop and placed it in PSP plugin folder. PSP 7,04 is my "working horse" I use Photoshop just sometimes. Just wanted to tell you this, because there is no option for installing other than in Photoshop." - "actually, at least on psp 9, 10, and 11, they are all recognized by the installer." - "FF has worked so well for me as a stand alone program that I had not even noticed that my PSP 8 had picked it up until later. " - "generally speaking, if your editor can use other .8bf plugins, then it can use FF." - "So it potentially may work with any Photoshop-compatible host out there, we just did not do the testing. By the way, this list is not very strict, if users need support for some not-so-conforming hosts, we usually look into it (for example, Ulead PhotoImpact made it to the supported hosts list exactly this way, by users' requests)." And this other: www.filterforge.com/forum...essage4244 -"Host compatibility: * Adobe Photoshop 6.0, 7.0, CS and CS2 * Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0 * Corel Painter 8 and IX * Corel PHOTO-PAINT 10, 11, 12 and X3 * Corel Paint Shop Pro X * Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8, 9 ." I am not surely if working, but it seems that perhaps yes, I do not understand well The big problem for me is that I do not have Photoshop to install and to copy to folder PSP, and only I have PSP 7.04 |

I don't know if it will help but I have a couple of filters that wanted to install in Photoshop. I don't have Photoshop, so in Program Files I made a Photoshop folder, put a plugin folder in it. The filters installed there and they work fine.

Opinion of Filter Forge? | #5 | ||
|
Oh! I had not thought that possibility! xDDD
I must evaluate it in order to prove the trial with the objective to buy it later by the way, you knew Filter Forge?         I have discovered it recently and am surprised it seems very many better than Flaming Pear, Dream Suite, Eye Candy, etc, the developers (evidently) call it "the best Photoshop plugin on this planet" and their characteristics and quality are very interesting. |

Looks like that will keep you busy for a while, the previews of filters look really nice.
For now Filter Forge is out of my budget range.. ![]() |

I was just browsing the FF site myself, and came here to see if anyone had used it with PSP, and how they like it. I agree Nan, seems a little steep in the
cost, and that's for the basic version ($99), but the filters that are featured on the site are fantastic looking! IMO, this has to be worth the
price...more so than AutoFX who charges $200 for their basic filter packs.
I'm riding the fence on this one for a bit...although a mod on the forum mentioned a "permanent" discount: One permanent discount is the early buyer discount, available from the trial version of Filter Forge. It's 10 per cent, and this offer is valid for 7 days starting from your first launch of Filter Forge. I'll let y'all know if I take the FF plunge.
