Registered User Posts: 89 03/30/08 3:12	Tags : None Hi Everyone, I am back. I have been trying my hand at blending and softness. I found this awesome tut but can't keep up with it. It's in German, By the way. Hahahaha I can only read English and Spanish. LOL So any pointers would be greatly appreciated. This is why I had asked about the pencil and strokes but I think this is made with layers and something. Anyway here is the pic. I am just trying to duplicate the soft look of the pic with those grainy lines in them. I thought it would be easy but I can't seem to get anywhere close to it. Registered User Posts: 90 03/30/08 6:25	Hey Chey, The site extended it a few more days... so I don't know yet. I asked if I could make more but once again... They never returned my e-mail. Oh well... Whatever. So now I found this beautiful wall that I really liked. I mean I like the soft look with the angeled lines through it. I managed to DL the texture and I have the colors... but I am unsure where to go from there. I was just looking to make a soft pic with the lines across it like they are in that pic. And I thought it would be simple once again! NOT! LOL Thank you for replying and trying to help me out once again. ;) Nightcrawler

Registered User Posts: 425 03/30/08 6:55 Chey_4ever	I downloaded her supplies......and acually I have most everything but the lines in.......there are so many ways to do that I'm working them all......lol! So it will be a bit before I get it done.......if you want to play .....start with the background.....I didnt use her texture but one I found in Filters Unlimited 2..... mostly if you like the way she has it set up.......the big headshot of Jen is mirrored and so is the tablet/headstone...you may want to turn them ..its a matter of placing them on your background in layers and lowering the opacity to your liking......and you can do the "stripes" the same way you did your glass wall/white lines.......on seperate layer and then lowering the opacity on that too.......I'm making cornbeef and cabbage for supper and will be in and out at the computer for the next hour! Just that soft look. How do you make those soft lines and make the pic stand out like that. I love it. I did not want to dup the whole pic just learn how to make that sorta soft look with the nice textured lines in it, ya know. Thank you very much for helping me again and corn beef and Cabboge... Registered User Posts: 426 03/30/08 7:43 Chey_4ever	The "soft look" can be had by layering every element you put into your creation......and using the opacity in the layer box........I'm doing the lines now....... new layer......just use your selection tool as you did for your "glass wall" and use the make your bars the width you want ......use your paint brush the color you want, then when you are satisfied with the results.....lower the opacity so that the background shows thru! The pics and grain do not show so soft like that one is blended. Okay, so now what is unlimited 2 and where do I get it from. Thanks for the help and I hope dinner was good! Nightcrawler

Registered User Posts: 428 03/30/08 8:51 Chey_4ever	I.C.NET software/Filters Unlimited 2.0 But when I went to their site its for sale.......soooooooo its a pay for filter now.......I'll look for another filter to give you the texture......or you can go ahead and use her texture, and put it on top of the background and lower the opacity till you like it......at that point I would merge visable and then start adding your elements.........I have company and will be back later! Supper was delish........its snowed today and was a very raw windy Sunday! Loves C
