How to mix 2 pictures till1 |

Hey,
I've seen this picture on a forum. 
I know I have to make two times the same picture: one when the engine is visible and one when you can't see the engine. But my question is: How do I mix
these pictures in Paint Shop Pro?

Here goes from a new kid.
Edit copy,edit paste as new image of car. Edit copy,edit paste as new image of engine. Edit copy of engine then left click on car pic edit paste as a new layer. Then blend with filters or erase as needed. Hope it helped.
